Use the team assistant for your staff

A private assistant for your team that answers from your websites and the documents each person may read. Use it in the dashboard or embed it on your intranet.

Your website assistant talks to customers. The team assistant talks to your staff. It knows everything your website assistants know, plus the Knowledge library documents each person is allowed to read: Team and Public documents for everyone, and their own Private ones. It's ready the moment your first assistant is built.

Ask it anything about your business

  1. Open Team assistant

Choose Team assistant in the sidebar. The welcome screen shows how many websites and documents it can use for you.

  2. Ask a question, or ask for help with a task

Type in the box and press Enter (Shift + Enter for a new line). Try "What's our refund policy for yearly plans?", "Summarise our services" or "Draft a reply to a customer asking about pricing".

  3. Check where the answer came from

Press Sources under an answer to see the pages and documents it used, and What I looked at for every passage it considered. Suggestions offers follow-up questions, and the copy button copies the answer.

Private by design. Each person's chats are visible only to them, listed on the left by day. Nobody else on the team, owners included, can read them. Press New chat to start fresh, or the bin to delete one.

Put it on your intranet

Your staff can use the team assistant without opening owns.ai. Press Settings & embed, copy its line of code and paste it into your intranet, staff portal or internal wiki, the same way you'd install a website assistant.

On the intranet, people sign in inside the chat window with their own owns.ai login, and each one only gets answers from what their access allows. If someone leaves your team, their access stops immediately.

Make it yours

Under Settings & embed you can also give it a name and greeting, choose its template and colours, its launcher position and icon, and whether sources and suggestions show under each answer.

The more you put in the Knowledge library, the more useful it gets. Start with the five documents your team opens most often: procedures, price lists, policies, product sheets and templates.
